As a platform dev one tries to think of all the ways his/her library will be used and then sets forth to build an interface that is minimal, complete and still humane (easy to do the common cases).  During this exercise we try to exhaustively cover all possible scenarios and we’d like to think that we know how our product will be used.

 

That said – the level of talent and creativity of our Messenger enthusiast user base never ceases to amaze me.  We put out a feature or a library that we think would be utilized in a particular fashion – but our users totally think outside the box and develop some rather novel uses.  (For instance our PSM & UserTiles features have been leveraged in some fairly interesting ways 

 

On this note I want to say Hats Off to the following Messenger aficionados who’ve won our Worlds Best App Contest by building some pretty schweet games, apps on top of our Activity API.
